Lower Your Proprerty Taxes
In a time of declining real estate values, it is very important to keep up with the valuation of your property by the tax official who has the responsibility for placing this value. Some jurisdictions are using values which are outdated. This will artificially inflate many tax bills because of the recent run-up in real estate values. Check the record at your local courthouse and if you know the value is too high, then use the appropriate procedure to protest that value and get it lowered to the current market value. Otherwise, you will pay more than the law requires you to pay. |
